ELITSA MARINOVA

From the bustling streets of Sofia, Bulgaria, I entered the world as the 20th century was drawing to a close. Born into a nation still finding its footing after the fall of communism in 1989, I was shaped by the winds of change sweeping across Eastern Europe.

This duality became my compass, guiding me to bridge worlds and perspectives. It fuelled my passion for international affairs, leading me from the medieval cloisters of the University of Glasgow to the vibrant campuses of Hong Kong and Shanghai. My journey has been one of constant exploration – from decoding the intricacies of Myanmar’s democratic transition to championing sustainability in the heart of London’s financial district. Whether I’m advising startups on fundraising, analysing ESG trends for global corporations, or founding initiatives to open doors for Bulgarian entrepreneurs, I’m driven by a singular purpose: to harness the power of innovation, capital, and cross-cultural understanding to build a greener, fairer, and more connected world.
